With all of the recent talk about custom firmware and potential vulnerabilities to hack the switch, I'm seriously concerned about what it means for the console and its longevity. We've seen this with past handheld consoles (PSP being one of the worst) where the advent of CFW for initially homebrew (which was great;-) unfortunately led to games being copied and downloaded, meaning developers stopped developing for the platform and it died pretty quickly soon after.

If you love games and new innovative works by great developers and want the switch to go from strength to strength, please consider what you enable. I know games aren't cheap, but piracy kills the platform and Microst/Sony aren't likely to release another handheld anytime soon. What would you want homebrew on the switch to enable you to do?? To be honest, we've had a lot of posts indicating potential breakthroughs. Sometimes we see people not releasing CFW because they realise what damage it could do to the scene (thinking FW5.0 for PS4 as an example). People hacking consoles tend to haunt places like this and I'd like them to just consider for a minute what it means for the platform.

I'm old and seen a lot of platforms come and go. Once the company can't fight back, it goes rapidly downhill with people not investing in developing further. If people have a list of other games handhelds in development, please share it as this could be one of the last before you end up with cloud-based subscription virtual consoles, presumably played on smarter phones. As a developer there's a certain pride in breaking / making something for the first time and demonstrating it can be done, or taking it down as part of a group. As soon as you get iso's for every game dropped onto torrents, it's game over for new games to consider the platform and they finish off what they had planned and that generation of console fades away. Welcome to the internet where everyone's opinion is valid. I might not agree with them but when I was (a lot) younger I downloaded games and software via bulletin boards etc Christ I remember typing code out from Ceefax for a BBC B (software for free;).

If you love the switch, then appreciate it because if you want to continue to have a torrent of companies wanting to programme for the switch (this was pretty unexpected right!), then there has to be something in it for them. I'll loose a few meaningless internet points to have some good debate;-) • • • • •.

I am so happy when you connect to my website. It created with the purpose is to share free Nintendo games for all of you. At the present, more than 3000 free Nintendo games are loaded on the website and it has still been in process of building, finishing the contents, so I hope that most of free Nintendo games could be updated as soon as possible. To a new website, it does not have much your attention (Nintendo players), but I wish you could give me a favour in advertising, introducing it to people by sharing its link for your friends, family members who own Nintendo through out Facebook, twitter and other websites. If the website becomes a well – known one, this will a motivation push me to continue updating more free Nintendo games, sharing to people. Thanks and best regards!!! Light
